Baker County, established in 1883 in northeast Florida is an area of rich history and colorful traditions. Many of the county’s current residents are direct descendants of the pioneering families that settled here in the 1800’s. The legacy of those families and the pioneer spirit and traditions they have passed down is today lovingly preserved in the county’s history repository known as Heritage Park Village. Come and leisurely stroll along a horseshoe cement path that winds past numerous mini museums. Each museum showcases exhibits highlighting this unique slice of a Florida community history. With the holiday’s quickly approaching, families will enjoy the events that beautiful Heritage Park has to offer. The first upcoming event is the Fall Festival on November 23, 2013 from 10 am-4 pm, admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children. At the festival will be vendors (booth rentals will be $35), food, cane grinding, pork & rice plates will be on sale for $8 a plate or $10 plates that include a drink and dessert. If you need more information on Heritage Park Village, the Fall Festival, or if you are interested in renting a booth, please call 904-259-7275 or 904-259-6261 and we look forward to seeing you visit Baker County for your holiday fun and are glad you’ve chosen to visit our community and Heritage Park Village.
